Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 18, 2026 Version: 1.0

This Privacy Policy describes how Editframe, Inc. ("Editframe," "we," "us") handles personal information when you use editframe.com, the Editframe cloud services, and the Client-Side SDK. Use of the Services is also subject to our Terms of Service. If we process content on behalf of a customer under a data processing agreement, that agreement controls for that content.

1. Contact

Questions about this policy: hello@editframe.com. Copy jeremy@editframe.com for contract or enterprise privacy matters.

2. Information we collect

Account and billing

When you create an account or subscribe, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, organization details, and billing details. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store subscription state and invoices so we can bill and support the account.

Service operation

To run Server-Side Rendering and related cloud features we store the compositions, assets, and outputs you submit, plus technical logs needed to operate, secure, and debug those jobs. Retention of hosted media follows the instructions on the account (including a customer data processing agreement) and the product delete and export APIs.

SDK telemetry

The SDK collects telemetry by default: render counts, durations, IP addresses, domains, and feature usage. Telemetry can be disabled by setting the EF_NO_TELEMETRY environment variable to any non-empty value. No video content is collected.

Website

The marketing site may record ordinary web logs and, where configured, measurement tools that help us understand which pages are used. Those measurements are not a notice that a vendor has been appointed as a sub-processor for customer content.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, secure, and support the Services
  • Bill subscriptions and usage
  • Understand product usage from telemetry that does not include video content
  • Communicate about the account, incidents, and material service changes

We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer video or other customer content to train general-purpose models.

4. Sharing

We share information with infrastructure and operations providers only as needed to run the Services (for example hosting, email delivery, payments, and error monitoring). Customers that have a data processing agreement receive sub-processor notices by email as that agreement requires. This page is not that notice.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the Services, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business, subject to continuing confidentiality and any applicable processing agreement.

5. Retention

Account, billing, and security logs are kept for as long as needed to operate the Services and meet legal and contractual record-keeping duties. Hosted media is kept until you delete it or instruct us to delete it, except where a shorter operational cache applies to transient job files.

6. Your choices and requests

You can update account profile details in the product, disable SDK telemetry with EF_NO_TELEMETRY, and export or delete hosted objects through the existing APIs and dashboard controls.

If you are an end participant in a customer's project and want access to or deletion of that customer's data, contact that customer. We will redirect such requests to the customer rather than answering them as if we were the controller.

Account holders may email hello@editframe.com about personal information we hold as a controller.

7. Security

We apply administrative and technical controls appropriate to a hosted video processing service, including encryption in transit, access limited to staff who need it, and multi-factor authentication for personnel access to production systems.

8. International processing

We host and process information in the United States and Canada. Providers may also process support or operations data in those countries. Transfers required to provide the Services are made under the contracts that apply to your account.

9. Children

The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes

We will post updates to this page and revise the effective date. Material changes that affect a customer's processing agreement are handled under that agreement, not by this page alone.
